Ft. Steele is a historic trading posts and village. It is located on a breathtaking site near Cranbrook BC. Photo opps abound as it is also a working farm. The best part of this, was that it was a fairly overcast day and we arrived shortly after the doors opened so there were only a few visitors on site. We were able to wander about in quiet contemplation and appreciation for the settlers who built this post and who must have toiled for years building the village including a church, general store, barber, barns and a water wheel used to power the gold mine nearby.
