I’m Published!

Now that I am retired, I get a lot of well-meaning people ask me, So what do you do all day?

Truth is I am just as busy as I was when I had a career. I guess I could say, that I just have a new career, but it lacks the monetary payoff that my previous one had..

I have been working for the last 7 months on my creative pursuits of writing and photography. Both are limitless in terms of time and topics, but when I tackle something I usually do it in a big way.

This month my hard work has paid off in being published in Artful Blogging magazine. This publication is rich in gorgeous photography while celebrating the creativity of artists in various fields such as food photography, knitwear, mixed media artists, writers, travellers etc. It is published each month and is found in Chapters, Barnes and Noble, Michaels and various other book stores across North America. Here is a cheesy photo my youngest son took of me in the Chapters Bookstore aisle when we went in to purchase a copy for my family.

img_7112It is a big accomplishment as I set this intention back in June of last year. So hard work pays off!

Next goal: Get my photography note cards completed and put them for sale in my Etsy shop.

For today, I am off to a greenhouse to take photos of some succulents that I may use in my upcoming photo shoot. Busy. Busy. Busy.
